Dental crown restorations are a common treatment modality by most dentists. However, many dental crowns are seen as sub-optimal and many dentists face problems regarding their outcome.

This unique course aims to help you improve your skills in every step of the crowning process – from start to finish.

You will experience a patient’s journey from a comprehensive assessment, specialised crown preparation techniques and making an ideal provisional, to a successful cementation outcome.

This module is designed for clinicians with extensive implant surgical and restorative experience, such as concepts and techniques of guided bone regeneration, immediate implant placement, multiple implant placement and guided implant planning and placement. Participants will gain a good understanding of how to prepare a treatment plan for a full arch or full mouth case using fixed or removable full arch prosthesis, including the All-on-4 concept. How many implants are required for each treatment modality will be discussed in detail. Due to the complex and expensive nature of such treatments, this course covers identifying pertinent risk factors and learning how to reduce or control them. Treatment planning using a full mouth approach, involving changes in OVD and utilising inter-disciplinary approach will be covered. Hard and soft tissue grafting as well as advanced surgical options for the atrophic jaw will be explained. As integral to the long-term success, longterm maintenance and management of complications will also be discussed. Additionally, the use of guided surgery and grafting to improve treatment outcomes and long-term stability will also be covered. The hands-on workshop includes: immediate implant placement, guided bone regeneration, sinus lift via lateral window, soft tissue exercise and converting a removable full denture into a fixed full arch bridge prosthesis.
