FOR PATIENTS

WHY CHOOSE US?

  • We are the registered specialists in the field of restorative, cosmetic and dental implant treatments.

  • We are the dental specialists that teach other dentists how to carry out dental and implant treatments.
  • Our dental specialists are some of Sydney’s most respected and reputable prosthodontists.
  • We have improved the lives of over 3000 patients and placed over 1000 implants and counting.
  • With over 30 years combined clinical knowledge and experience, our prosthodontists are most well-known for their high success rates and high patient satisfaction.

  • We are a 100% referral-based practice where we do not carry out any form of external marketing. We rely on providing world-class dental care to achieve your total satisfaction which in turn leads to professional and word-of-mouth referrals.

  • We provide rational and ethical advice in the manner we would present it to our own family member. All options are presented in a non-pressured setting where you are in charge to choose what treatment you would like to receive and when to receive them.

  • We don’t just solve problems, we are the experts in identifying their root cause and provide comprehensive management to prevent them from reoccurring.
  • We only provide treatments that have been proven to work in the long-term. We are not pressured to follow what may seem to be “trendy” simply because it’s deemed to be “the latest”. Unfortunately, some of “the latest” techniques and materials do not offer any long-term research to back up their success.

  • We are based in a multi-disciplinary specialist centre where second opinions are obtained with ease from dental specialists of other disciplines; a root canal specialist, gum specialist, children’s dental specialist, among other specialists, are available in the same premise as our practice.

  • We offer affordable interest-free payment plans so that you can receive the treatment you need now and pay later.
Why Choose Us
Your First Visit

YOUR FIRST VISIT

Your first appointment would be a consultation with one of our prosthodontists. During this visit, we will provide a comprehensive assessment of your condition, possibly take x-rays and photographs, and conduct additional tests to obtain an accurate diagnosis. For patients needing dental implants, we may take a 3D bone scan. All of this are done in-house during the same appointment.

Once we have obtained all necessary information, including your treatment goals, your consulting prosthodontist will clearly explain the issue and its causes, followed by the range of treatment options available. Regarding any treatment options under consideration, there will be an in-depth discussion with you so that every aspect you should know about is thoroughly explained. An hour has been set aside to ensure there is ample time to answer all questions.

Following the consultation, a comprehensive treatment plan will be sent to you within 2 working days, providing you with a clear record of the issues, treatment options, prognosis, the proposed treatment, duration, fees, risks, possible complications, and what to expect throughout the entire process. In addition, a formal report will be sent to your referring dentist, a copy of which will be sent to you via email.

The above process is carried out in a logical, easy to understand, ethical and unpressured manner, so that you have as much time as needed to make the best decision for you.

The cost for this appointment is $250. The item numbers for private health insurance are 017 and 963.

If a 3D bone scan is required, the cost is $250. The item numbers for private health insurance are 026 and 087.

We understand your fears and we have treated many patients just like you. We do not judge you on your fear or how long you have not been to the dentist or your oral condition. It is our job to look after you, to be patient, to give you time, to listen, to provide you with support and use every trick up our sleeves to make you at ease.

In addition to understanding, patience and empathy, we offer a number of clinical methods to make your treatment more comfortable:

  • Painless injections for the application of local anaesthetics.
  • Blankets, pillows and stress balls as required.
  • Oral sedation, such as Valium, can be provided in advance of treatment to assist in relieving anxiety.

  • Intravenous sedation by an anaesthetist for really anxious patients. This is also known as sleep dentistry.

For the needle phobic patients, our prosthodontists are some of most gentle dentists you will meet. In addition to always using ample numbing gel prior to delivering local anaesthesia, all injections are given with great care and empathy. Our patients are always pleasantly surprised how comfortable they were during the procedure and how little discomfort they felt after surgical procedures.

b. Dental implant – A dental implant consists of 2 parts.

The first part is the surgical placement of a titanium post under the gum. The cost ranges between $2000 to $3500 depending on the complexity of the surgery and number of implants placed. We use dental implants from Nobel Biocare, which is one of the leading companies in the world.

The second part is the tooth-looking cap (a.k.a. crown) secured to the top of the titanium post. The cost ranges between $2000 to $3200 depending on the cosmetic requirement, complexity and number. The quality of our crowns is second to none; the ceramists who make them are some of the finest in Australia.

Yes. For the eligible patient, you can receive treatment now and enjoy interest free payment up to 24 months. Contact us for a consultation to discuss your treatment needs and eligibility.

a. Do you claim from Medicare or private health funds for patients?
Unfortunately, we do not have HICAPs at the present. The patient needs to settle their account by the end of the appointment at which time they’ll receive our itemised invoice and receipt that they will then submit to their health fund for a claim. The cost of the consultation is not claimable from Medicare.

b. What are the item numbers for the initial consultation?
The item numbers are 017, 963. Depending on what was additionally carried out on the day, additional item numbers may be added to improve your claim.

c. How much can I claim from my private health fund?
If your insurance covers dental benefits you may be able to claim some of the costs. The rebate amount will depend on your level of coverage and your insurance policy. To obtain your claimable amount, please inform your health fund of the cost of the consultation and the item numbers.

If you are being referred to us from a dentist it is preferable to have a referral letter that explains your situation and dental needs, even though one is not required from the legal point of view.

Your first appointment consists of a comprehensive examination and an in-depth consultation with one of our prosthodontists. This appointment may take up to 1 hour. You may find this appointment duration longer than expected, but this is a reflection of how thorough we like to be. There is a fixed initial consultation fee of $250. If a 3D bone scan is required, an additional $250 fee is applicable. We are proud to provide you with assessment and advice of the highest standard and we are confident that our fees are justified for the quality of the service you receive.

You will need a 3D bone scan if you’re looking to place a dental implant.

A 3D bone scan (commonly referred to as a cone beam CT scan) provides critical information that a 2D-xray does not. When undertaking dental implant surgery, it is pertinent to your safety for us to know the bone height/width/density as well as the precise measurements and 3D appearance of critical structures like the sinuses and nerves.

Our patients often report that our prosthodontists are some of most gentle dentists they have ever been to. Very often, they are pleasantly surprised to report how comfortable they were during the procedure and how little pain they felt after surgical procedures.

In addition to understanding, patience and empathy, we offer a number of clinical methods to help nervous patients feel more at ease and comfortable during treatment. These include –

  • Scents, ceiling-mounted TVs, and background music played on high-quality speakers are distraction methods that help to create a calm, pleasant soothing ambience in each treatment room.

  • Oral sedation, such as Valium, can be provided in advnace of treatment to assist in relieving anxiety.
  • Intravenous sedation by an anaesthetist for really anxious patients. This is also known as sleep dentistry.

Our prosthodontist are most patient, non-judgemental and will discuss the most appropriate method during your initial consultation.
