VENEERS
Dental veneers are thin porcelain shells glued to the front surface of your natural teeth to improve appearance. This option can be used to address a number of cosmetic concerns including tooth shape, rotation, colour, length, width and gaps.
It should be noted that a strong tooth foundation is required for this option to last. If a large piece of porcelain tile was placed on sand, it would crack with ease when stood upon because the tile bends under pressure. However, when the same tile is properly glued to a concrete floor, the same standing pressure would not cause it to crack. The same principle applies for porcelain veneers. Careful assessment of the underlying tooth structure and anticipated bite force is essential to ensure you are a suitable candidate for this option.

OUR PROCESS
Smile design using digital or manual format.
Without teeth alteration, place temporary veneers to see and feel your final result. Modify temporary veneers as required to achieve your envisaged result – first visual confirmation.
Consent to proceed with treatment.
Teeth are modified and temporary veneers placed. Further modification of the temporary veneers as required – second visual confirmation. This finalised shape is then copied and sent to our ceramist to hand-craft your permanent veneers.

SMILE MAKEOVERS

To improve your smile, a tailor made smile design must take place first as a trial-run before receiving the end result. This design can be made in one of three ways: digitally on a computer; carefully hand-crafted in your mouth using tooth-coloured fillings; hand-crafted outside the mouth on a duplicate model of your teeth using wax. Just like you would need a blue-print to build your house, this smile design process is our blue-print to create your smile. You are able to see and feel what your final smile would look like before any irreversible treatments are carried out. This gives you and us the control and confidence in knowing you are getting exactly what you want.
By combining expertise, artistry and experience, our prosthodontists can then recommend different materials and options to provide you with the best choice for each tooth to achieve your dream smile.

DENTAL CROWNS
A dental crown is like a cap that is glued entirely over a tooth. It is often used when a tooth is severely damaged to improve its strength and appearance. At a dental specialist level, our prosthodontists can often work with very little remaining tooth structure under the gum and still achieve an excellent long-term result.
A dental crown can be glued over your own tooth or screwed into the supporting dental implant to provide a tooth-like structure for function and aesthetics.
Dental crowns can be made of ceramics, metal or a combination of both. All materials used to construct dental crowns are of the highest international quality combined with the best aesthetics. All laboratory work is hand-crafted in Sydney by only the finest ceramists under Dr. Lee's protocols.
DENTAL BRIDGES
Similar to dental crowns, dental bridges are essentially fused multiple dental crowns designed to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing.
A dental bridge can be glued over your own teeth or screwed into the supporting dental implants surrounding the empty space to provide teeth-like structure for function and aesthetics.
As with crowns, you have a choice of materials for bridges. Our specialists will help you to decide the best material and design based on the location and number of missing teeth, stability of the neighbouring teeth, functional and aesthetic requirements as well as cost.
FULL MOUTH WORN DOWN TEETH RESTORATION
Worn down teeth could be due to many years of teeth grinding and/or acidic erosion. While these teeth may be heavily damaged, often they still can be fixed using durable restorations to restore them to their original height and appearance.
There are a number of dental materials and options available to achieve this. By combining expertise and a lot of experience, our prosthodontists can recommend the best option to provide you with the desired long-term result.
Your help in the management of teeth grinding or acidic erosion is paramount to the long-term success of this treatment. We will help you to identify the cause for your teeth becoming worn down, but we need your help to control these factors in the long run. Without such control, no dental treatment is expected to last irrespective of what material was used and how well it was made.
